1. Grant of Rights
The Contributor grants Sedona Soul Sisters Publishing the right to publish the submitted work as part of the above-named anthology. The Publisher is granted: First World Print and Electronic Rights to publish the Work as part of the Anthology. The right to distribute the Anthology in print, digital, and future electronic formats, including but not limited to paperback, hardcover, and eBook. The right to use short excerpts from the Work for marketing, promotional materials, and publicity related to the Anthology. These rights apply worldwide.
2. Copyright
The Publisher retains full copyright ownership of the chapters within this Anthology. The Contributor grants the Publisher a perpetual, exclusive license to publish the Work as part of the Anthology and in connection with the promotion and sale of the Anthology.
3. Participation Fee
The Contributor agrees to pay Sedona Soul Sisters Publishing a one-time participation fee of $175.00. Payment is due upon signing this Anthology Contributor Agreement and is made on the Sign-up Page of our website. This participation fee contributes toward editorial services, formatting, cover design, production, and publishing costs associated with the Anthology. Please note that the participation fee is non-refundably charged unless the Publisher cancels the Anthology project prior to publication.
4. Submission Requirements
The Contributor agrees to submit their completed chapter in accordance with the following guidelines: Word Count: Between 3,000 and 3,500 words. Submission Deadline: Once we have all authors on board for this Anthology project, deadlines will be discussed with the contributors involved. Failure to submit the chapter by the agreed deadlines may result in removal from the Anthology without a refund of the participation fee.
5. Editing and Formatting
The Publisher reserves the right to perform copy editing, formatting, and proofreading to ensure consistency with the style and quality of the Anthology. The Publisher will not make substantial changes to the content of the Work without the Contributor’s approval.
6. Contributor Copies
The Publisher will provide the Contributor with one (1) complimentary paperback copy of the Anthology upon publication. Additional copies may be purchased by the Contributor at a discounted author rate when available.
7. Promotion, Marketing, and Launch
The Contributor grants Sedona Soul Sisters Publishing permission to use their name, biography, photograph, and likeness for marketing and promotional purposes related to the Anthology. All authors will be showcased on the Sedona Soul Sisters Publishing website. Contributors are encouraged and required to participate in promotional efforts such as social media announcements, interviews, and book launch promotions to ensure a successful release of the Anthology. Participation in at least one promotional event (like a virtual launch, podcast, or summit) is critical for boosting book sales and visibility.
8. Contributor Biography
The Contributor agrees to provide a short biography (approximately 100–150 words) and a head-shot photograph (300 DPI). These materials will be included in the Anthology and/or promotional materials.
9. Warranties and Indemnification
The Contributor warrants that the Work is original and created solely by them, has not been previously published, and does not contain libelous, unlawful, or infringing material. The Contributor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Publisher from any legal claims arising from the content of the Work.
10. Removal from the Anthology
The Publisher reserves the right to remove a Contributor from the Anthology if submission deadlines are not met, payment obligations are not fulfilled, the submitted work violates this Anthology Contributor Agreement, or the contributor acts outside professional boundaries inconsistent with the collective of anthology members. In such cases, the participation fee will not be refunded.
11. Withdrawal by Contributor
If the Contributor chooses to withdraw from the Anthology after submitting their chapter or after editing has begun, the participation fee will not be refunded. The Publisher reserves the right to decide whether the submitted Work will remain in the Anthology.
12. Publisher Cancellation
The Publisher reserves the right to cancel the Anthology project. If cancellation occurs prior to publication, participation fees will be refunded to Contributors.
13. Publication Timeline
The Publisher will make reasonable efforts to publish the Anthology within 12 months following the final manuscript deadline; however, publication timelines may change due to editing, production, or distribution considerations.
14. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of __________________________.
15. Entire Agreement
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the Publisher and the Contributor and supersedes all prior communications or agreements related to the Anthology. Any modifications must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.
